Following The Hacienda’s Tokyo residency and the first festival last April, The Hacienda and our Japanese partners are delighted to announce the full line for FAC 51’s second festival in Japan, The Hacienda Oiso Festival on which return to Oiso Long Beach, a year to the weekend since its first run out.

Again during Japan’s golden week, the last weekend of April at the spectacular Oiso Prince Hotel, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a more dance orientated tone takes hold at this year’s event with some of the very best DJ’s and international names from across the world have been added to the bill alongside some Mancunian legends and the best young Japanese bands playing live.

Hooky will be Dj’ing across the event as well as meeting Japanese fans at a book signing at the festival and on Saturday 27th April he is joined by the best of progressive house, techno and some drum and bass flavour, Digitalism perform a DJ set along with the legendary John Digweed whose keen sense of the cutting edge progressive have seen him remain as one of the world’s very best DJ’s and producers for some twenty years now and as a label boss, his Bedrock Recordings imprint is considered one of the best in the world.

John along with his production partner Nick Muir recently produced a remix of New Order’s classic Blue Monday “John Digweed & Nick Muir’s FAC73 – 13 Remix” which you can listen at fac51thehacienda.com here -http://bit.ly/ZMPTeN- or Bedrock’s Soundcloud account here –http://bit.ly/13HVVnw

Alongside James Zabiela, himself renowned for his sense of the most sensational modern day tracks, Manchester techno pioneers 808 State perform a rare full live show in Japan while Pendulum and Verse unleash their drum and bass fusion for the Hacienda Oiso crowd. Manchester’s own Delphic enhance their growing international reputation with a Dj set while Friday’s selection is rounded off by the likes of Soul Clap, Clive Henry, DUB FX, Delphic, So So Modern, Stephane K, Oli Furness & more.

For the second day, seminal Manchester band Happy Mondays perform their first Japanese live date since their reunion last year as the full original line up. Performing their many hits alongside album tracks from their major albums on Factory, the Mondays have been enthusiastically greeted since their return and their headline slot at The Second Hacienda Japan Oiso Festival seems set to prove another highlight.

Afrojack jets in to complement The Mondays on the bill and one of the originators of Japanese techno, Ken Ishii also plays on the Sunday alongside Hacienda Japan resident Sigiurumn. The live element to Sunday is built on with two of Japan’s most highly rated bands, the telephones and [CHAMPAGNE] while DJs Damage, Groove Patrol, Breakbeat Rockers and more are also lined up to play at the festival.
