As FAC 51 The Haçienda celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this coming May, a trio of parties “Haçienda 30 XXX” have been planned to celebrate three decades of FAC 51, a very special event falling on the thirtieth birthday, Monday 21st May 2012 which will be announce shortly and two parties across Jubilee weekend which a stellar cast of Haçienda jocks come together for a not-to-be missed celebration of three Haç decades.

The Haçienda Birthday Parties were always considered a highlight of the clubbing year and for the thirtieth, great efforts have been made to recreate these special one off events.

The first party, which has been being planned for months now see The Haçienda return home to the original venue as FAC 51 takes over the Haçienda Apartments Car Park for a very special, one off party which will see a full installation of light, sound and music across both basement floors of the car park on the 30th anniversary itself which falls on Monday 21st May 2012.

Limited to just some 500 attendees, the DJ line up for The Haçienda Car Park “X1” Party will only be revealed on the night and will comprise some very special Haçienda residents and surprise guests. A one-off and spectacular event to reflect thirty years of FAC 51, the event is planned to be streamed online for those who are unable to attend.

The car park event itself benefits The Nordoff Robbins music charity and the Haçienda would like to thank the multiple parties who have made this event possible which include ellesse heritage, Livingcity, National Car Parks, Event Booths and the residents association at The Haçienda Apartments for their considerable help and assistance in putting the event together.

All those purchasing tickets for parties “X2” and “X3” prior to Monday 14th May 2012 will be entered into a draw to win a ticket for the first special event.

The first of the Sankeys parties, “X2” falls on the Saturday of Jubilee weekend, the first weekend in June, Saturday 2nd and sees legendary French DJ Laurent Garnier return both to Manchester where he spent the late Eighties and also to the club where he started out DJing in 1987 at the original Whitworth Street venue.

Since those beginnings Laurent has gone on to become of the world’s best DJ’s and recording artists and has specialised since the late Nineties in performing his music live across the very best clubs and festivals.

In a very special performance for the Haçienda’s 30th, Laurent brings his live “L.B.S” show to Manchester for the first time, which hones his live and improvisational talents as part of a three piece, Laurent taking charge of Djing and Machines, Benjamin Rippert on keyboards and long-time collaborator “Scan X” also working the technology.

“L.B.S.” termed “Live Booth Sessions” or “Loud Bass & Samples” is Laurent’s own experimental live music project which plays across techno, jazz, house, dub, breakbeat and dubstep, combining the organic with the electronic, and the flexibility of a DJ performance with the intensity of a live show, specifically designed to match the feverish atmosphere and tempo of an energetic dancefloor.

Support on Saturday 2nd June comes from San Franciscan DJ Julian Martin who along with Claude Von Stroke runs the Dirtybird imprint and is known for his expansive sets bridging the best of finely tuned, classic underground house and Oli Furness with further guests to be announced closer to the event.

Closing off the Manchester run of dates for “Haçienda 30 XXX”, “X3” / Haçienda 30 Classics” on Monday 4th June brings together three of The Haçienda’s most famous club nights with a sensational line up of the DJ’s who made their mark at these very famous events.

Taking the Sankeys mainfloor with a recreation of his 1992 to 1996 Saturday night residency, Haçienda DJing mainstray Graeme Park is joined by Reese himself, Inner City’s Kevin Saunderson, his long term DJ resident partner, Tom Wainwright and the ever irrepressible Allister Whitehead.

Taking Sankey’s Spektrum room upstairs, Jon Dasilva returns to raise the temperature, revisiting the “Hot” night from the heady days of 88 with a selection the finest early acid which is to be complimented on the night with sets from rave survivors, 808 State DJ’s, who bring along “The North At Its Heights” collaborator, MC Tunes and FAC 51’s Peter Hook.

The third room on Monday 4th June is taken by The Haçienda’s original indie crossover night, Temperance Club, which is helmed by DJ and commentator Dave Haslam alongside original Temperance resident Dave Booth, and Paper Recordings / Afficianado’s very own Justin Boardman.

With all three parties featuring the very best sounds, installations and the inimitable atmosphere of The Haçienda in full flight, “Haçienda 30 XXX’s” trio of events are set to give the legendary club and the people that made it so, the very finest celebration for three decades of FAC 51.
